The cakery is dedicated to providing a safe haven for those with celiac disease or gluten allergies, where you can enjoy wonderful baked treats without the concern of cross contamination. Our personal experience with celiac disease has fueled a passion to create fine desserts that everyone can enjoy, without sacrificing quality or taste. To provide extra comfort for our patrons, Pip's Place has completed the Third Party Accreditation Process with the Gluten Free Food Accreditation Program, a designation we are proud to have earned.
Of course, we also believe that gluten free eating represents a great choice for everyone concerned with healthy eating. Our unique blend of gluten-free ingredients, and a long process of trial and error, have allowed us to provide a wide range of delicious GF baked goods that are entirely indistinguishable from regular baked goods. “Is that gluten free? Really?” is a common first response when our goods are sampled. Mmmmm …. is often the second.
Our goods are baked fresh daily on site with the finest ingredients, low fat where possible and never containing preservatives. Of course, a baked treat needs to be accompanied by a fine coffee or tea, and Pip’s Place offers a wide selection of both, prepared by our trained baristas. For ice coffee on a hot day, or a cappuccino , latte or other specialty drink any time, Pip’s uses our own unique blend of beans that are roasted in Brooklyn, New York, which we also sell by the pound. For tea, Pip’s is pleased to offer a number of unique blends from local entrepreneur, Verna Hamilton’s Tea Philosophy. We like to think of Pip’s Place as the non-corporate alternative for high end coffee and teas. We hope you will too.
